If you could live in any city in the U.S. which would it be and why?

I am torn between saying New York and New Orleans. I spent very little time in both and I can see how both could grow on a person.

I used to want to move to LA, but every person I know from LA has either moved away and swore they wouldn't go back or complains about life there.
